Hello again my loves! I hope you are having a great time! Summer is here and it is time to shine! So, for this reason, today's post is all about the newest trend
Strobing!
What is Strobing? In my personal opinion I'd say it is the opposite of contouring. It is another name of Highlighting. It's purpose is to bring your face's features forward.
Reading posts about this technique and watching tutorials, cooltone highlighting is what's most preferred and will definitely be the absolute must for the winter! Of course, now that is summertime, more warmtoned highlighting is absolutely fine.
Tip to tip: Always adjust the new trends to your face and personal preference. There is no point in not feeling comfortable just because it is in fashion!
Just before I start describing how to apply this technique, I'd like to say that people with oily skin must be a bit more careful. Personally, if I follow all the strobing steps, by noon I will look like a disco ball! The steps that have the * indication are also the steps for people with oily skin. But as I said, experiment and chose what suits you best!
- *Moisturise your skin with your normal prduct
- Prime using an illuminating primer, like the Facefinity All day Primer by MaxFactor (here for a review)
- *Use an illuminating foundation or mix your own with an illuminating product. My personal favourite for oily skins as well is the Matte BB Cream by Avon (here for a review)
- *Highlight the areas shown in the following picture
- *Set with a setting spray and you're done!

So simple and easy! Strobing doesn't like contouring, so for those who are struggling with it, are off the hook now. Of course you can contour if want to! I personally do contour a bit when Strobing and I know that some people like to contour their noses, so feel free to do it!
